'Native' Perfume Packaging Design

This was a university project to create packaging for a new perfume 'Native'. 
I came up with the repetitive pattern by looking closely at aborigine dot paintings. I created my own approach to these dot paintings using the computer to create visual shapes and textures that worked well with the name ‘Native’ and the aboriginal feel I wanted to express. 

The bottle design was inspired by the clothing and jewellery of the aborigine tribes. I noticed that chiefs wear heavy embroidered and patterned necklaces and headwear. I wanted my bottle to express this look and therefore I created a necklace look out of the repetitive pattern to add to the 'Native' effect.
